 Ulumay Designated Florida Heritage Landmark

On December 17, 2008, The State Bureau of Historic Presentation finalized, with the Brevard County Historical Commission Manager Stephen R. Benn and the Friends of Ulumay Vice President Jack Lembeck, the designation of the Ulumay Wildlife Sanctuary on Merritt Island as a Florida Heritage Landmark. An application with supporting historical research for the Ulumay Historical Landmark Marker, was submitted earlier this year and was approved by the State Historical Marker Council.  The Marker should arrive in late February or early March 2009, to be installed and dedicated at Ulumay.    Click here to view market text.
